Community Sport for All Initiative – Sport Support Program
The Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI), a component of the Sport Support Program, seeks to remove barriers and increase sport participation rates for under-represented groups. Its key objective is to support community sport initiatives for under-represented groups, in particular, Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQI+, low-income people, persons with a disability, newcomers and seniors to increase participation and retention in sport.
The CSAI funding is directed at applicant organizations to administer and disburse project funding to community organizations to deliver community sport initiatives that contribute to and align with the objectives of the CSAI.

Funded national-level organizations (2024-2026)
The following national-level organizations were approved to receive funding from the Government of Canada as part of the Community Sport for All Initiative. They will disburse funding to community organizations to deliver community sport projects.
Additional recipients for 2025-2026 funding will be posted once the funding is approved.

- Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sport Association (236,000)
- Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities ($2,500,000)
- Nordiq ($600,000)
- Cycling Canada ($720,000)
- Field Hockey Canada ($800,000)
- Judo Canada ($504,000)
- KidSport Canada ($2,203,500)
- ParticipACTION ($1,200,000)
- Sail Canada ($190,000)
- Speed Skating Canada ($220,000)
- Wheelchair Basketball Canada ($299,000)
Community organizations are invited to contact the funded national-level organizations to see if their projects might be eligible for funding and to learn how to submit their application for funding.
Who can apply
To be eligible for funding, your organization must meet all of the following requirements:
- be a national-level organization or other organization with the scope and capacity to reach the target under-represented group(s) in multiple jurisdictions, within all 5 regions of Canada (but not specifically in each province/territory within the regions), that has the ability to deliver quality programs, projects and/or services relevant to the goals of the Canadian Sport Policy (PDF)
- All 5 regions include the following: Atlantic (Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick), Central Canada (Quebec and Ontario), Prairies (Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta), West (British Columbia), and North (Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut)
- be a federally or provincially incorporated not-for-profit organization
- be able to administer and disburse project funding to community organizations to deliver community sport initiatives that contribute to and align with the objectives of the CSAI
How to apply
Applicants are required to:
- read the Application Guidelines in their entirety
- complete, sign and date the Application Form, in Fillable PDF Format
- attach all the required supporting documents (including proof of incorporation and independently audited or board-approved financial statements with an auditor’s letter for the past fiscal year if applicable)
